Lake Worth Street Painting Festival 2012

This year two friends and I participated in the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival. It was so much fun! We worked on this piece for 6.5 hours, and it measures 7ft x 7ft. We completed it in chalk & chalk pastels. It is a variation of Alex Grey's Vision Crystal.

It was such a challenge but we did have a lot of fun! We may do it again next year.

so we wanted to get it done asap.

Practicing for the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival

Alex Grey's Vision Crystal

This upcoming weekend, two of my friends and I will be participating in the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival! We have never done this before. For our piece, we will be attempting to re-create Alex Grey's Vision Crystal (a complex geometric fractal...very colorful, with many eyes). Because we are new to the medium, and this piece is so complex, we started a practice piece. This practice piece is 5' x 5', but our piece for the festival will be 7'x7'. However, we learned a lot while working on it, and we should be better prepared for the festival. I will try and bring my camera so I can take some photos to share later :)

What is your name? What is your shop name?
My name is Leigh and my shop name is LoveLeigh Curiosities

How did you come up with your shop name & what does it mean to you?

In high school my best friend called me LoveLeigh, only I didn't realize until much, much later that it was a play on my name and she wasn't calling me lovely just to be nice!
Romance and beauty inspire what I make in a big way, so when it came to picking a shop name, I wanted it to reflect that as well as who I actually am. Using my old nickname just seemed a natural fit.
Since I never stick to one branch of crafts and I'm always learning something new, Curiosities also felt right and so I joined the two together and got LoveLeigh Curiosities.

What kind of products or services do you offer in your shop?

I love putting my own spin on decoupage! Jars, bottles, vases, cigar boxes - there isn't anything I don't look at in a new way!

I make jewelry, ornaments and keychains, as well at original art from time to time.

I love to create and I've been known to dabble in a bit of everything.

What materials do you use to create your products? Can you tell me a bit about your process?

I recycle a lot! Magazine ads can make fantastic backgrounds that look shattered if cut the right way! Doing the same with tissue paper, gives whatever I'm making a handpainted look. Painting it would probably take less time, but there's something about using paper and glue that feels more like sculpting.
It's by far my favorite medium!

What is your mission or goal with your shop?
It's my hope to create things that people will love and cherish.

What is your biggest inspiration?
Life. There is inspiration all around us. Anger, sadness, beauty, love - Every second of every day is full of emotion that can be channeled into something wonderful.

Doodled up a portrait of my character Oliver in my sketchbook. I love drawing him, but I feel like my drawings of him always come out the same - just a slight variation of the last. I often feel as though he should be portrayed in a city scene because he lives in one, and so the background usually looks something like this.

Anyways, this was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed working with the colors and want to experiment more with this style in the future. I should really do more digital art!

If you didn't notice with yesterdays post, I have remodeled my blog. I wanted something more colorful, and I wanted to include a crow since they are part of my logo :)

Feature Friday: Crystalline Dreams

What is your name? What is your shop name?
My name is Brandi / My shop's name is Crystalline Dreams

How did you come up with your shop name & what does it mean to you?
A good friend of mine came up with the final name after a small group of us brainstormed.

What kind of products or services do you offer in your shop?
Hand painted glass and handmade jewelry. Jewelry consists of beadwork and resin casting.

What materials do you use to create your products? Can you tell me a bit about your process?

Glass: I use mainly glass and ceramics as my canvas. I paint with craft paint then bake my products in the oven at 400 degrees for up to an hour, depending on the size of the piece. After it cools I glaze the item and bake it a second time. This process makes the item dishwasher safe, although I always recommend hand washing.

Jewelry: I use several different materials for my jewelry. It all depends on what I'm trying to do. It goes anywhere from plain beading wire with beads to a mix of chain, beads, and beading wire, to just the chains and beads. I have recently started resin casting. So now, not only can I make some great pieces made purely out of resin, I can make my own beads and pendants! The resin casting process take long time. The first step is to decide what I want to make and see if I have a mold. If I don't have a a mold, I need to make one. To make a mold I first sculpt what I want my final product to look like out of modeling clay. After the clay dries I have to seal it. Once the sealant dries ( I usually use a clear glaze) I can start making the actual mold. I build a mold box that is a bit bigger than the clay model. I build the mold box out of Legos, that way it can make it whatever size I need. Once the box is built the silicone gets poured in. I then gently press the model into the silicone and let it sit until it sets. Once the mold is complete it's time to cast. Resin casting takes precise measurements. It is very important to mix equal parts of the chemicals so that your piece will set properly. Once the resin is mixed and tinted, there is a short window for this, I pour it into the mold. The pieces take anywhere from 24-36 hours to completely set.

What is your mission or goal with your shop?
My craft is my therapy. I paint and make jewelry as stress relief. It wasn't too long ago that I realized that I other people may actually like my stuff too. Now that I am in the game, my plan is to open up an actual shop and become a true business owner. I want to be an actual brand name.

What is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is color. I love putting colors together to see how they look. I want to splash the world with color.

Is there anything else you would like me to know about you, your shop, or your products?
My dad is also a crafter. We are working together on opening his shop, it is not on Etsy. He has his own domain and all that jazz. I will have a line of products that are exclusive to his shop.

Delicious Vegan: Kale Smoothie

Kale Smoothies are very nutritious!

Green smoothies are SO good for you. They are packed full of nutrition and low in fat & calories. The secret to making a yummy green smoothie is to use a lot of flavorful fruits.

YOU WILL NEED:
Apples, sliced (3 or 4 small)
Several leaves of Kale
Bananas, frozen & sliced (1 or 2)
Milk Alternative (soy, almond, or rice)

+optional: strawberries, mango, blueberries or other fruit!
----
1. Slowly add ingredients to blender, add water or milk-alternative (I use almond milk) to blend.
2. Pour into a cup and enjoy with a straw!

I find that apples work well with kale. They provide a lot of sweetness to balance out the kales bitter taste. Additionally, they will give you an energy burst! This is a great midday snack.
Frozen bananas, when blended, thicken the smoothie and keep it nice and cool.

For my kale smoothies, I use maybe 70% fruit to 30% kale. I like enough kale to count as a few servings, but I prefer my smoothies to taste sweet.

Feature Friday: Grimmlynn

What is your name? What is your shop name?
My name is Jeni/My shop name is grimmlynn

How did you come up with your shop name & what does it mean to you?
My shop name is actually from an old comic I created. The main character was a morbid, but funny girl that everyone called Grimm Lynn. Soon after trying to draw a comic strip, I realized I lack artistic ability. However, I developed a certain attachment to the character and my shop name is an homage to her.

What kind of products or services do you offer in your shop?
I am currently offering recycled envelopes.

What materials do you use to create your products? Can you tell me a bit about your process?

I am always looking for an atlas or damaged vintage book to use to make envelopes.

I always make sure the pages are in good condition so they can handle the post office. I have discovered that paper does reach a point where it is no longer good for making envelopes. When I run across pages like that, I set it to the side to make handmade paper.

After selecting the right material, it is just a matter of making the envelopes, which can be a very tedious, yet very rewarding process.

What is your mission or goal with your shop?

Waste not. Want not. Create more.
These are three things that I have always believed and I want my creations to reflect that. I also believe that letter writing is becoming a lost art and aim to inspire people to write more. With text taking over as a way of communication, the written word should be cherished. And a letter sent in an envelope from my shop is sure to be noticed.

What is your biggest inspiration?
I am inspired by history. I look at the pages and think of what they once were and who might have read that book or where the road map led people. Then I turn it into something new, so that it can become history for someone else.

Is there anything else you would like me to know about you, your shop, or your products?
I have just recently made the move into handmade items. Before, I ran a supply shop that consisted of vintage items and reclaimed bed linens to be used as fabric.

Feature Friday: Molly Cranch

What is your name? What is your shop name?
My name is Molly Cranch, and my shop name is Molly Cranch!

How did you come up with your shop name & what does it mean to you?
I debated for a long time about what to name my shop and in the end, I stuck with my own name. I know, it's rather boring. But I have been painting for over 20 years now, and it didn't seem right to attach another name to my work in a way that might confuse people. I wanted people to be able to find me.

What kind of products or services do you offer in your shop?
I create small acrylic paintings inspired by nature. Birds and botanicals are longstanding subjects.
My paintings are acrylic on canvas. I worked in oils for many years, but switched due to health concerns for me and my family. The qualities of oil paints are beautiful and I strive to achieve similar effects using acrylic. Soft colors, layered washes and subtle marks are all attributes of painting that I work with.

What materials do you use to create your products? Can you tell me a bit about your process?
I have many source materials such as photographs, guide books and collections of natural objects that I observe directly from when painting. I also take walks in nature to observe color nuances, patterns, layers and even movement. I try to bring this sensory response to my paintings, as I do not intend them to be direct representations of nature. I hope that my paintings convey a sense of atmosphere and emotion, and that people feel a sense of calm when looking at them.

What is your mission or goal with your shop?
My goal is to make my paintings available to new people, and to provide an online connection to people who have seen my work in the past. My desire to make a living as an artist is a real driving force for me, especially during recent years. I have spent 12 years teaching art in a difficult urban environment, and I would like to make a change. Since I became a mom I want nothing more than to do what I love (painting) and support my family doing what I love.

What is your biggest inspiration?
Nature is a big inspiration for me, but really what motivates me the most is my love for my family.

Is there anything else you would like me to know about you, your shop, or your products?
Most of my days are spent with others, being a mother or a teacher or a wife. Painting is a gift I give to myself and I cherish it dearly. Thanks for giving me this opportunity to share what I do!

As you may recall this blog post, a creative partner and I are collaborating on a series of works centered around the tarot card, with our personal interpretations and characters as the focus. This project is BIG, and it is still in progress! We complete at least one card a month, but often more.

I often update my deviantart with the latest card, so that is a great place to keep up to date with my work during times where my blog is less frequently updated.

I am happy to say that we are halfway done with the major arcana of the tarot so far, 11 cards are complete. We have outlined ideas for the remaining cards, and are currently in the process of completing the next one. I know that this sort of work may not be to everyone's taste, but it is a project that we are both invested in and quite happy with, and I hope that you can enjoy it as well.

I feel like it is incredibly important to have some things to smile about to get you through your day. In my bedroom, it is the fuzzy mustache I have stuck onto David Bowie on my Labyrinth poster over my art desk.

It is very goofy, but it makes me laugh. Sometimes we could all use something so ridiculous to get us through our day :)

Its been a while!

It has been such a long time since I posted last! I can't believe how quickly time passes. My schedule is finally cooling down, although I am still super busy with school and work. My classes are going well, my furry clients are happy with our daily walks, and I am hoping to get back into working on my blog and my shop!

My new years goals have been to read more, eat more vegan food, and jog with my dog Sasha once a day. So far I have been doing well on all fronts :)

How did you come up with your shop name & what does it mean to you?
I'm a pretty straight forward kind of gal and I wanted to let others know just what kind of fun awaits them in my shop ;)

What kind of products or services do you offer in your shop?
Brightly colored, whimsical artwork in originals, prints, and products made by me.

What materials do you use to create your products? Can you tell me a bit about your process?

Most of my artwork, no matter what form it eventually ends up taking, STARTS as either a watercolor or colored pencil piece. I'll admit, I'm not a very orderly artist....only rough sketches are made if I am working with a client on a commission or if I really can't figure out why a certain illustration I'm working on doesn't seem to be turning out. Otherwise, I go right for the gusto and create %99 of my artwork, from start to finish right on the good paper ;)
I also tend to have about 11 different wips (works in progress) at any one time that I bounce between so my work table can get a little crowded ;)

What is your mission or goal with your shop?
My mission? Just to make people sMiLe when they see my creations (and possibly fall far enough in love with them to want to make them THEIRS)

What is your biggest inspiration?
The biggest inspiration for me is just knowing that by placing simple brush to paper you can brighten someone's day! I *try* to never EVER create dark moody pieces. (I won't say it doesn't happen, just VERY few and far between) but for me, it's important to let others know that I am always here to offer a bit of cheer...hey, life is hard! We need all the happy we can get :)

Vegan Pumpkin Bread

A great & healthy treat for the holiday season! :)

YOU WILL NEED:
1/2 cup raw sugar
1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon each: nutmeg, clove, allspice, anise
1/4 cup chopped dates (or any dried fruit)
1/2 cup canned cooked pumpkin
1/2 cup almond milk (or soy or rice milk...)

+optional: you can also add in sunflower seeds or chopped nuts, a tablespoon or two of flax seed, or additional dried fruit (raisins or cranberries) for extra nutrition & yummyness.

1. preheat oven to 400 F
2. mix sugar, honey & oil
3. add salt, baking soda, baking powder & spices - mix well!
4. add dates, pumpkin & milk.
5. spread into greased bread pan
6. bake at 400F for 20 minutes
7. lower heat to 350F and make 20 more minutes or until done.

Hey everyone! I haven't been blogging much, but I have been reading everyone's posts. I've been soo busy with my day job. For those of you not in the know, aside from working on art and going to school, I also work as a dog walker & pet sitter, and help out at my employer's home office & Private Dog Boarding facility. :)

We are putting together a book full of my photos from the year of the furry guests that have spent some time there. The book will be a gift, but we may offer some for sale. If we do sell any, the proceeds will be donated to a local dog rescue. I have been having so much fun with all of the dogs and this project - I love my job! Click here to view my dog photography.

Anyways, this has been keeping me super busy. I hope to start blogging more regularly again soon, but we have reached the holiday season, and a lot of animals need me to visit them while their families leave town. I'm still working on my etsy shop, and should be adding more artwork and photography prints for sale soon.

What is your name? What is your shop name?

How did you come up with your shop name & what does it mean to you?
I came up with my shop name because I like to paint birds.

What kind of products or services do you offer in your shop?
I like working with a variety of crafts (jewelry-making, decorative painting) so I decided to use birds as my unifying theme. Although I recently made a change, I originally named all my pieces after a species of bird.

What materials do you use to create your products? Can you tell me a bit about your process?
I make primarily jewelry, but dabble in other accessories and home decor. I love doing fabric decoupage and decorative painting so I will try these techniques on almost anything. I use wood, fabric and paint. I usually start with a wooden piece and then slowly start adding to it. I let the piece develop itself naturally, although I do sometimes start with a very clear vision of the final product.

What is your mission or goal with your shop?
Honestly, I started so I could earn some money to keep creating. I love the idea of making beautiful pieces that someone can find real joy in wearing. I'm hoping to use this to continue making more pieces.

What is your biggest inspiration?
Color. When I see bright colors mixed together in an artful way, I want to go out and do the same. Often this is in nature (a bird or a flower) but sometimes it might be in the aisle of a craft store or in someone's outfit.

Is there anything else you would like me to know about you, your shop, or your products?
Hmmm. I guess I would say that I love what I do and feel like being an artist is a dream come true.

This is one of a few illustrations from my sketchbook that I am finishing in digital media. I bought some sepia inking pens a while back, and was having SO much fun testing them out in my sketchbook. I ended up with several full page illustrations. My night owl (also my header and blog theme) was created with this same method.

My name is Jaqueline, my shop name is Dolphinfeather.
How did you come up with your shop name & what does it mean to you? I came up with my shop name from my pen name dolphinwing. When I started making business cards I wrote dolphinfeather on them because it was like I was giving people a feather from my dolphin wings haha so then I just decided it would be a good shop name as well!

What kind of products or services do you offer in your shop?

I make plush dolls, buttons and t-shirts. Most of my products are related to Japanese anime and video games.

What materials do you use to create your products?

For my plush dolls I use fleece and felt. I have a button machine for the buttons, and I use cotton t-shirts and print on the designs with a silkscreen and ink.

Can you tell me a bit about your process?

If I have an idea I'll just get it out there on one of my products!

What is your mission or goal with your shop?

I just want to make sure that everyone is happy and gets exactly what they want.

What is your biggest inspiration?

Japanese culture and anime!

I have been passionate about crafts ever since I can remember. It's my therapy. For about 30 years I was an avid seamstress, making nearly all the clothing that my daughters and I wore. Eventually I learned fabric painting and sold hand painted clothing to local stores. I recently discovered glass garden art sculptures and I'm hooked!

Quinoa Veggie Patties

This recipe is easy and nutritious, providing an adequate amount of protein and lots of flavor. My boyfriend and I made this meal along with his home-made-from-scratch mashed potatoes, and it was a very wholesome and filling dinner.

YOU WILL NEED:
1.5 cups quinoa
1/2 cup chickpeas
4 tbsp flour
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp ground flax seed
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp basil
1 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
salt & pepper, to taste.

---
1. blend all ingredients in food processor
2. form into patties
*optional* I found it easiest to cool the patties in the freezer for a few minutes to help them retain shape. however, cooking them helps stiffen them into shape.
3. heat on stovetop, browning both sides.
4. enjoy!

What is your name? What is your shop name?
My name is April. My store is Eluna Jewelry Designs.

How did you come up with your shop name & what does it mean to you?

When I first began creating jewelry, I wanted a name that was unique. My husband and I were both playing World of Warcraft at the time, so my husband suggested name my jewelry after my virtual pet on World of Warcraft; Eluna.
The name was also significant for me as "Luna" means "of the moon." I have always loved the moon and stars, I find it gives me hope where little is left. So I chose to name my store after both my virtual pet and the moon. And the name has stuck.

What kind of products or services do you offer in your shop?
I offer a variety of handmade jewelry in my store. These include sterling silver jewelry, sterling silver hoops, copper hoops, mixed metal earrings, recycled glass jewelry, and wire wrapped necklaces featuring stones I cut.

What materials do you use to create your products?

In my creations, I mainly use metal, stone, and sometimes stained glass. I love working with silver and stones!

Can you tell me a bit about your process?

When I work with rough stones, I choose a pattern in the stone I like. Then I will cut out that area of the stone and begin to polish it. I have to take the stone through about different five levels of grinding discs before I am able to put a final polish on it. The grinding and polishing is then repeated on the back side to finish the stone. Here is a video that was taken during my last stone cutting demo (courtesy of my local bead store Ornamentea): view on youtube.

When I am working with metals, many times I just create on the run. I will choose the metal that speaks to me in that moment, and with a rough idea of what I am looking for in my head, I will start putting something new together.

What is your mission or goal with your shop?
I want to create jewelry that is simple, fun, and yet has a natural feel or flow to it. I think the natural world has a large influence on my designs and the simplicity surrounding them

What is your biggest inspiration?

My biggest design influence is nature itself. But my biggest inspiration that keeps me going is a quote I found on a journal once.

"Shoot for the moon, even if you fail you will land among the stars!"

This is my never give up quote. The quote I remember when things are not going as smoothly as I wish. In those moments, remembering that quote, I imagine I am in a ship heading towards that moon. A bumpy ride, but the final result will be spectacular.

Is there anything else you would like me to know about you, your shop, or your products?
All of my jewelry is handmade. The final photo on each of my wire wrapped jewelry includes a photo of me in the process of cutting new stones.

Going to see Alex Grey!

Today I am heading to Atlanta for the weekend to see the incredible Alex Grey. Alex is one of my favorite artists. If you are familiar with the band TOOL, you are likely familiar with Alex's work. He combines anatomy, spirituality, culture and color in the most incredible ways, creating highly detailed psychedelic paintings. I am so excited for the chance to see him paint in person.

I am looking forward for an inspiring experience. I see travel as an opportunity to learn, and this seems like an opportunity that I will take a lot from.

I'll be driving up to Georgia with two of my friends, and we'll be staying there throughout the weekend, attending the art events. It'll be a welcome break before this month starts to get super busy with work. I'm sure I will have pictures to share, but it will likely take me some time to post them - I haven't even posted my photos from California yet!

i wanted to create a snap shot sort of portrait of the two, looking causal enough to be a quick photo, but illustrating their personalities and relationship through pose & expression.

what do you interpret here? what do you think oliver's personality is like? or what do you think klyde's personality is like?

communicating your interpretation is greatly appreciated, and helps me to know if the piece is "successful" for an audience outside of myself. <3

20 Art Peeves

While I am not usually one to focus on the negative, I feel that it is healthy to vent. This post is intended for some lighthearted venting about some issues I encounter while creating art.

1. prismacolor colored pencils breaking every two goddamn minutes when i am trying to complete the piece.

2. sharpening above mentioned colored pencil just for the lead to have to get caught in my pencil sharpener.

3. trying to get the lead out of my pencil sharpener, forgetting i have a mesh/wire trash can (WHYYY) and getting pencil shavings all over my floor.

4. sketching an entire figure and then seeing that the head is too large...but it looks awesome and i'm afraid to erase it.

5. erase 'awesome' thing and can never get it to look right again.

6. dipping my paintbrush in my drinking water or tea.

7. trying to delete something in SAI and having the entire canvas rotate.

8. trying to click with my pen on a color in PS to use the eyedropper as if I am in sai.

9. my cat sitting on my arm when i am trying to draw.

10. and/or my cat nudging my arm when i am inking something.

11. the popularity politics of the art world (the simplest way i can think to explain this).

12. my personal least favorite works being highly liked by everyone else (not too bad, but whhyyy).

13. thinking a new drawing is incredible, looking at it the next day and finding some stupid mistake that suddenly makes it seem awful.

14. flipping an image and realizing how horribly wrong all of the anatomy is.

15. perspective looking funky no matter how much i mess with it.

16. severe underpricing by new artists making it difficult for anyone to sell work at reasonable prices (i myself was guilty of this in the past).

17. people looking at art as a fun hobby, rather than a serious career (note: it can be a fun hobby for some, but many people pursue it as a serious career. the issue is when one wants to pursue it as a career, and others see art as ONLY a hobby).

18. my WIP folder being full of nearly done images that i am just too lazy or too intimidated to finish.

19. people throwing off my art groove by constantly interrupting (via questions, loud noises, etc)

20. having to put projects on hold due to a lack of space or feeling of time constraints (like to create within a full, open, window of time so that i can follow through an image without interruptions)

Vegan Raspberry Blackout Cake

As I mentioned a few posts back, my birthday was on September 6th! It was a nice day, although I haven't really had any time to celebrate with friends. However, my brother goes to culinary school and I requested he make a birthday cake for me. I chose this recipe from Vegan with a Vengeance, and I have to say...it might be the best vegan cake I've had yet.

Raspberry Blackout Cake
1 + 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 + 1/2 cups plain soy milk
1/2 cup canola oil
10 oz jar of raspberry preserves (reserve 1/2 cup for the batter)
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 + 1/4 cups sugar
Fresh raspberries for decorating and yumminess

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Spray two 8-inch round spring-form cake pans with cooking spray.
3. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.

4. Combine the soy milk, oil, 1/2 cup of the preserves, the vamilla, and the sugar in a large bowl and mix with a hand mixer or strong fork. The jam should be mostly dissolved with the rest of the ingredients; some small clumps are okay.

5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet in batches and mix until everything is incorporated.

6. Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick or knife comes out clean.

7. Remove from oven and let cool in pans. When the cakes have cooled fully, spread one layer of cake with a thick layer of the remaining raspberry preserves; spread a layer of chocolate frosting on top of the preserves. Place the other layer of cake on top and spread its top with preserves. Carefully spread the chocolate frosting over the top, then ice the sides.

Chocolate Ganache-y Frosting
3/4 cups soy creamer (or soy milk)

6 tbsp non-hydrogenated margarine (I use smart balance organic)
10 oz semisweet chocolate chips

1. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the soy creamer to a low boil.

2. Add the margarine and melt, turn off the heat, and stir in chocolate chips until smooth.

3.Let sit for at least 1 hour. It should still have a pourable consistency at this point.

I love looking at photos of bedrooms and work spaces, so I thought I would share mine! :)

Right Wall, a large trunk full of sewing supplies (inherited from my grandmother) a fan found at goodwill, my calendar, lamp, slippers, and some canvases.

tons of to-do lists and sticky notes, art supplies, curiosities,
and my cat stealing my chair (he sincerely thinks that is HIS chair).
I will probably do a more in-depth post exploring my work space
if anyone is interested :)

My bookshelves! Okay, I have a problem with collecting books. Most of these are "to-be-read" I have my favorite books stored in my closet. However, I keep my cook books and graphic novels out for reference. :) Also, my ukelele, Aubrey Beardsley Print, and painting & bat by savannah horrocks.

Much of what you see here are gifts (many from banana-puddin)
dried roses, vintage post cards, my collection of watch pieces, alice in wonderland,
skeleton keys, a treasure box, a gold mirror from my grandmother, a vintage
photo of my (deceased) father, and of course, my collection of deer!

Okay, admittedly: this isn't EVERY part of my room. I left out some areas that are currently suffering from clutter. However, I would be happy to share more photos in the future.
